Resisting Temptation on the Medifast Diet

Resisting temptation of deserts

You can resist temptation

For me, the worst part of losing weight was resisting temptation. Not from extra helpings, or fast food, but deserts. Those were the killers for me. It was amazing too. I would be good all week and exercising and things would start to improve on my body and I would cave and have a treat…and it was like I didn’t do anything all week. All my progress – the hard work – was all gone…in just a matter of minutes!

It just amazes me what refined white sugar can do to the body. It completely destroys it!! I have learned the hard way that cheating on your diet and the lifestyle that you have chosen will set you back not just a few days, but usually an entire week. That is a lot of work for a single cupcake or brownie.

The process of Medifast and ketosis is key…and it takes discipline to get there in the first place, but it is vital you stay there as that is what the fat on your body literally melts away as your body uses the fat reserves as fuel. If you cheat, you have to start the process all over again from the beginning, which means weight loss just got that much harder.

Don’t cheat. Stay focused and resist temptation this weekend!
